This research explores how visual communication can promote and preserve minority languages, with a focus on the Friulian language. By integrating Friulian into various visual contexts, the research investigates how design can enhance its visibility, appreciation and usage.

The study combines theoretical insights with practical design experiments to highlight the power of visual communication in sustaining linguistic diversity and contribute to broader efforts in cultural heritage preservation.

Lastly, this thesis is a statement of affection for Friuli, a border region rich in tradition and history, yet often overlooked.
